Faunce appointed as Maine delegate to the American Association for Justice

LEWISTON, Maine, July 10, 2017 — Washington D.C.-based American Association for Justice (AAJ) has appointed attorney Susan Faunce of Berman & Simmons to serve as state delegate for Maine. Faunce will serve a three-year term. The announcement was made by attorney Daniel Kagan, also of Berman & Simmons, Maine’s senior governor for the AAJ.

“I’m honored and excited to serve as a state delegate to the AAJ,” Faunce said. “As trial lawyers, we are committed to seeking justice and accountability for clients who are injured by the negligence and misconduct of others. The AAJ gives us strength in numbers and a national platform to advocate for victims’ rights and fairness in our civil justice system.”

Other Maine lawyers serving AAJ include Christopher Largay of Bangor (Largay Law Offices), Allison Wholey Briggs of Rockland (Briggs & Wholey), and Michael Bigos of Auburn (Berman & Simmons).

“Attorney Faunce’s work in the areas of mass torts and defective medical devices make her a perfect fit for this appointment,” Kagan said. “I look forward to working with her to advance the interests of access to justice for all Mainers.”

Since joining Berman & Simmons in 2006, attorney Faunce has represented clients who have been harmed by personal injury and medical negligence. She currently leads the firm’s mass tort practice, which involves dangerous drug and medical device litigation, and works on medical malpractice and wrongful death cases.
