AAJ Honors Berman & Simmons Attorney Daniel Kagan with Prestigious Certificate of Recognition
The American Association for Justice (AAJ) has honored one of its governors, Berman & Simmons attorney Daniel Kagan, with a Certificate of Recognition for 2019. The AAJ Certificate of Recognition acknowledges AAJ members for their outstanding service to the organization. Just ten of the organization’s 56,000 members received this distinction.
The AAJ’s mission is to promote a fair and effective justice system and to support the work of attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in America’s courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.
“Attorney Kagan’s work as one of Maine’s leading trial lawyers is in keeping with our mission,” says AAJ President Elise Sanguinetti of San Francisco, California. “He shares our commitment to promoting safety and corporate accountability, advocating for a balanced civil justice system, improving our communities and educating lawyers to provide excellent advocacy for our clients.”
Attorney Kagan has served as a governor to AAJ since 1998. He is also a past recipient of the organization’s Wiedemann & Wysocki Award for service to the legal profession and access to justice.
A Maine native, Kagan is a graduate of Middlebury College and Boston College Law School.
